2009–10 C2 post-season recap

The C2 Spiders returned to the AHA post-season for the second-consecutive time thanks to their C2 North title, which earned them first-seed placement in Pool B. Unlike last year, the team went all the way to the C2 final.
The Spiders worked their way through the round-robin series where they took two out of three, losing only to the C2 East Royals. The two wins — with the help of the newly configured tie-breakers — were enough to earn the Spiders the fourth and final seed in the semi-final round. The Saturday night opponent was the top-seeded Aces, who were dispatched 3–1, sending the Spiders to the Sunday afternoon final and a rematch with the Royals. By Sunday, the remaining legs of the Spiders were not enough to overcome the surging Royals, who took home the trophy (and bobbleheads) thanks to their 4–0 shutout of the Spiders.
