Minnesota celebrates Hockey Day Minnesota, C3 Spiders asked to step aside

On the day that the NHL returns to post-lockout action and Minnesota celebrates its state sport, the Spiders were quietly asked not to skate today so as to avoid distraction for hockey fans.

The C3 Spiders, who return to AHA action Jan. 26 against the Diablos, will instead use this weekend as a justification to avoid further sinking in the C3 East standings.
