A look at the new Spiders roster

Time again to welcome new faces to the Spider red and white

As they have done every season since inception, the Spiders bid their invetiable hellos and goodbyes prior to the start of the next season. The 2009–10 season will be no different, as the Spiders will no long lace ’em up with:

• Veterans Brian Armagost and Aaron Bedessem, as well as last year’s rookie D-man Jay Hilden, who will ply their skills on the Spiders C2 squad.
• Long-time subs Bruce Gustafson and Lee Martini will no longer be helping out in a pinch at D1, though they’ll still be sticking around at C2.
• D1 sub Mike Olson.

And, as reported earlier, Cory Vandenberghe will be sitting out the season due to a contract violation.

New to the Spiders:

• Christian Heitzman, John Pellicci and Eric Schlais
  • All join the Spiders from Brad’s Piper Jaffray hockey development group.
• Cody Yard
  • Joining through Cory Vandenberghe.
• Jim Tuttle (as a sub)
  • Joining through Luke Baker.
• And finally, the Spiders welcome back to the room, founding Spider Carlos Eberhardt, who will also sub.

Welcome guys!

The remaining Spiders have healed up their various and sundry ailments earned during last year’s championship run and, with the new faces donning the red and white, are ready to hit the ice for the 2009–10 season!
