C3 Spiders, Gold Rush, Wolfpack and friends again hit the summer ice as the ‘Spartans’

A selection of C3 Spiders along with friends from the Gold Rush and the Wolfpack, will again hit the summer ice beginning June 2, as the Spartans, competing at Level 6 (C3 equivalent).
As is the AHA’s summer league tradition, the league has named teams with the MSHSL team names for the summer season, and the name chosen for the Spiders/Gold Rush/Wolfpack is the ... Spartans, as in the Orono Spartans, which followed winning its first state title in 2017–18 with getting knocked out before the tournament in 2018–19. Appropriate.
