Hockey starts Saturday!

The Spiders long golf season has finally come to an end: The puck drops Saturday afternoon on the Spiders’ 15th AHA season.

While the rest of the AHA started last weekend, the Spiders got a much-needed bye to avoid starting the season on only seven and a half months’ rest. So Saturday will be your first chance to see the 2018–19 C3 Spiders in action.

The Spiders open the season against the Wildcats, a team the Spiders have never played, though the combined Ice Sages/Wildcats team this summer, the Danglers, ended up going 0–2–0–1 against the Snipers (Spiders), while both teams put up a whopping 37 combined goals in three games. The Wildcats went 5–14–0–1 last year in C3 West.

This season, the Spiders will seek to return to their winning ways after four consecutive losing seasons, and get themselves back into the AHA post-season.
