The puck drops on the Spiders’ 12th AHA season Sunday night. It’s your first chance to see the 2015–16 C3 Spiders in action.

After a strict regimen of candy and pumpkin-flavored beer on Saturday, the Spiders will be ready to hit the ice for their 2015–16 opener on Sunday.

The Spiders open the season against the Northern Horde, which went 6–13–0–1 last year in C3 West. While the Spiders have never faced this version of the Northern Horde, the then-D1 Spiders faced the original version of the Northern Horde in the Saturday Night Shootout in 2011. That team moved up to C2 the following year, while a new Northern Horde formed at D2, eventually making their way to C3 in 2013.

This season, the Spiders will seek to recover from their first losing season in eight years, with a 7–10–2–1 record in 2014–15, and get themselves back into the AHA post-season.
