Breaking News: C2 Wingmen win championship in OT, Leafs fall to Fighting Loons in C3

News out of Bloomington has the C2 Wingmen (with Spiders on the roster) winning 4–3 in OT over the Mastodons, for their second consecutive winter championship.

In C3, the Leafs (also with a Spider) lost to the Fighting Loons 3–0, after the Leafs knocked off the top-seed Maroons in the semi-final Sunday morning.

And also congrats to former Spider Mike “Monty” Montgomery, who rebuilt the D1 Lakers from scratch, and put together a championship run to claim the D1 trophy, beating the Stars 3–2 on a three-goal third-period comeback.
