Spiders drop puck on decade in the AHA
Oct. 27, 2013
The Spiders’ 2013–14 season will be the team’s 10th in the AHA.
From the 2004–05 AHA Beginner School, to D2, the D1/C2 split, the 2008–09 championship, and a solid run at C3, the Spiders have seen it all in the last 10 years.
By the numbers, from the first nine years of the team:
- 82 players have donned the Red & White
- Longest tenured Spider: Paul LaCosse
- Stats:
- C3/D2/D1 GP: 167 regular season games; 21 playoff games ... 188 total
- C2/C1/B3: 120 regular season games; 20 playoff games … 140 total
- Combined: 328 games
- Best record: 2009–10: 19–0–1
- Worst record: 2004–05: 0–7; 2005–06: 2–17–0–1
In that time, the C3/D1/D2 squad has a regular season record of 83–73–8–3; post-season: 10–8–3–0. And the B3/C1/C2 squad in the regular season: 82–27–8–3; post-season 11–8–2–0.
And in total for both squads: 165–100–16–6 regular season record; 21–16–5–0 post-season; and in total: 186–116–21–6 (and 2,320 PIM!).
Celebrate the Spiders’ 10th year in the AHA all season, by following the C3 and newly-at-B3 Spiders.
