Full 2012–13 Winter Season schedule now available

With anticipated record demand for winter hockey — any hockey — the AHA has released the full Winter Season schedule in an attempt to woo lockout-weary NHL fans to suburban ice rinks on Saturday and Sunday nights, for a slightly slower-paced version of their favorite sport.

The eight-team C3 East means the Spiders will face all the teams three times except two for the Ak Bars. Unlike last year’s Saturday-heavy schedule, the Spiders draw seven Sunday games, six Saturdays, and the rest during the week. And in a tip of the helmet to classic mid-2000’s insomniac-busting start times, the Spiders will have one 10:30 p.m. start, a time the team hasn’t seen since 2008–09.
