Champions! Spiders shut down Yellow Team to win Fall Tourney trophy

The Spiders returned to the same ice on which they last played for hardware, but this time had the legs and scoring to bring home a victory.

Same ice sheet, same ref, same scorekeeper, much of the same roster. The 2011 Fall Tournament L4 Spiders (and friends) did what the 2010–11 Winter D1 Spiders couldn’t do: bring home the hardware.

This afternoon, the Spiders put together a 4-zip lead on the Yellow Team through two periods. Though the Yellows got a couple back in the third, the Spiders answered with two more, and skated away with the 6–2 victory, and Fall Tourney trophy.

Game stats for the whole tourney should eventually be available, we hope.

In the meantime, the Spiders (and friends) will bask in their victory before preparing for the 2011–12 Winter season.
