The Spiders defeated by Snowmen 4–1
Dec. 11, 2005
The Spiders lost to the Snowmen last night 4 to 1. The lone Spiders goal came from center Dave Schliesman, unassisted, and won clean off the faceoff at the end of the first period.
The Spiders spent 8 minutes in the penalty box, but let in no shorthanded goals! Spiders’ penalties were:
- Defenseman Paul LaCosse, tripping in the first period, and hooking in the second period.
- Right wing Bob “Bobby” Jensen in the third period for roughing.
- Left wing Lee Martini at the end of the third period, for tripping (despite the clean sweep of the puck!).
It has been decided, however, that they were all innocent.
Substitute goalie and all-around good guy Chris Trinh contributed 37 saves as well as the gloves to lone goal-scorer Dave Schliesman. (Does Chris get an assist for that?)
