The Spiders were defeated by the Buzz 9–1. The Spiders’ lone goal came in the third period came by Mike Montgomery, recently moved up to wing, with assists by Doug Thorson and Deb Brinkman. (Note: Box scores have been corrected now that AHA’s website is updated. The original scoresheet was illegible!)
Numerous penalties were called, with Bruce Gustafson called for checking, Paul LaCosse called for tripping and Ben Tesch for a broken stick. They were, of course, all innocent.
