Spiders all set for AHA Winter Season

The Spiders will debut at D2 tonight, playing in the AHA Winter League for the first time.

Returning this fall from AHA Beginner School:

• Mark Franklin
• Bob Jensen (A)
• Tim Johanson
• Jeff Keacher (G)
• Lulu Kwan
• Paul LaCosse
• John Rajes
• Ted Samsel

The Spiders have bid farewell to Mat Ronnei (going to Ak Bars), who was team captain in Beginner School, Mike Hall (to Eagles), Anton Petsan (to Ak Bars), Tom Mutak and Steve Tangen (to D1 Cougars).

The Spiders have added the following players to round out the roster:

• Mike Montgomery

• Doug Thorson

Carlos Eberhardt will wear the captain’s sweater, with Marc Berris and Bob Jensen as alternate captains.

The first game is tonight against the Stars at 8:30 at West Side Arena in St. Paul.
