D1 West Nemesis take the cup

The AHA post-season results are in, and … newsflash: the Spiders did not win in the playoffs. Mostly due to the fact that they weren’t invited.

But the four D1 East teams in post-season play, all of which spent their regular season Spiders’ matchups having their way, apparently got stickhandled in return, with all four D1 East teams clinging to the D1 Pool cellars. And it was two D1 West teams claiming the top of each pool, with the D1 crown going to the D1 West Nemesis. Congratulations! The Nemesis will presumably make the long-distance trek to the Super Rink in Blaine in May to compete in the USA Hockey National Championships.

Also, congratulations are in order for former Spider Eric Anderson, whose goalkeeping prowess got the Fighting Saints the D2 final, where they lost 7–4 to the Yellow Jackets.
