The Spiders were suffering from a post-holiday hangover in a 5-3 loss to the Muskies. The Muskies jumped out to a 4-0 lead before a couple late Spider goals made the final score appear closer than the game actually was.
The lone bright spot for the Spiders was the play of the Hilden/Bedessem/Butalla line.
The Spiders return to the ice on Saturday, January 9 at St. Louis Park. The puck drops at 6:15pm against the Dragons, who the Spiders beat 10-2 in the season opener.
