Spiders derail the Zephyrs to continue their Playoff run

Spiders play terrific in 3-2 win to advance in the playoffs. As the Spiders entered the arena they were greeted by many wild and crazy Spider fans. The arena was a near-capacity crowd, with almost every bench seat occupied. The cow bells were ringing, the horns were blowing and the kids in the Kool Aid kids section were having the time of their life.

The Spiders started the scoring in the first with a Mark Bortnem unassisted goal.

The Spiders took a 2-0 lead with a Dave Schliesman slap shot dribbling in the five hole with assists from Maietta and Cagle.

In the third the Spiders thought they secured their lead with another goal, this time from Bruce Gustafson from Doug Thorson.

The Zephyrs were not going to let the game end as they came racing back with two goals on two power plays.

As time ran out the Spiders satisfy their fans with a 3-2 win to move on to the tier championship.
