Beep, Beep! Roadrunners steamroll Spidersâ€Â¦

The Roadrunners were all over the weary Spiders as they cruise to an easy victory at New Hope Ice Arena.

Your first place Spiders played their worst outing of the season as they were out-skated, out-hustled, out-shot, out-hit, and at the end of the day, out-scored. With a short bench, the Spiders couldn’t find their legs as passes and shots misfired all night long. It almost seemed as though they watched in awe as Roadrunner #51 (Palmeri) scored not once, not twice, not three or four times but five times including once on the power play as well as the eventual game winner.

While the highlight reel for the Spiders was pretty thin, the scoring broke down this way:

First Period:

• Delsing from Maietta & Thorson
• Delsing from Thorson

Second Period:

• Gus (all alone)
• Gus from Maietta and Bortnem

Third Period:

• Harnett (all alone)

And as usual: #33, #66 & #96 all spent some time in the sin-bin.

The Spiders look to rebound next Sunday during their fan appreciation night. The first 100 fans in the door will receive free admission. Let’s go Spiders!
