A week after their first point of the season the Spiders for their first "W" with a dominating 6-3 victory over the Gators. Three quick goals early in the second period broke the game open after an even first period.
Cory Vandenberghe ked the way with 2 goals and an assist. Also tallying three points were Josh Cagle (1 G, 2 A), Jay Hilden (1 G, 2 A) and Dan Mehren (3 A) in his Spiders debut. Brian Dow made 23 saves for the win.
