After some games you just have to shrug your shoulders… Such was the case in the Northern Horde 8-6 win over the Spiders.
The Spiders took to an early lead and made it interesting (and the score look closer than it really was) with two late goals. But other than that the Northern Horde had the upper hand as the Spiders couldn’t get out of the defensinve end. Throw in a handful of bad bounces, some uncharateristic individual mistakes, and general flatness and you have a Spiders trademark inexplecable late season loss.
Luckily the Spiders had some breathing room in the playoff chase and remian in second place. The win keeps the Northern Horde lurking for the last playoff spot.
The Spiders have a quick turnaround, next taking the ice against the Gators on Tuesday, March 6th.
