Spiders score early and often against Gators
Dec. 16, 2017
The Spiders had too much firepower for the Gators on Saturday night, skating to a comfortable 6-2 win. Aside from a few minutes early in the second period, the Spiders were firmly in control over the short-benched Gators.
Christian Peterson, last seasons team scoring leader, broke out of his early season slump with a four-point night (2 G, 2 A). Also tallying multiple points were Paul Fitch (1 G, 2 A), Jason Yancey (1 G, 2 A), Aaron Bedessem (2 G), Cody Buckalew (2 A), and Tom Prausa (2 A) with Hank Long also adding an assist.
The Spiders outshot the Gators 49-18 with Brian Dow continuing his strong start to the season when called upon.
The Spiders improve to 4-1-1 on the season. This puts the Spiders in a tie for 2nd with a game in hand on the B3 East leading Battle Cats.
Next up are the Rack Attack (4-3-0-0) on December 23rd at 7:10pm at the rarely visited Oscar Johnson Arena.
