Spiders lose 4-0 vs. the M's
Nov. 27, 2011
First-place M’s vs. the second-place Spiders had all the billing of a typical Hockey Night in Minnesota. There was the usual crowd control, limited media access and even our own Ron Cherry showcasing his new line of Sport coats.
The Spiders started out with confidence and matched skate for skate against the talented M’s. The Spiders outshot the M’s in the first period only to find themselves behind 1-0. After two periods the Spiders continued to have plenty of scoring chances and yet again, unable to find the back of the net. The Spiders scoring drought continued for 5 straight periods with out a goal. The Spiders fall 4-0 and lose their second game in a row. You have to go back several years to find 2 back-to-back losses. The Spiders need to re-group their offense and get back to their scoring ways.
