Spiders lose 3-2 in close battle with Royals
April 8, 2010
The Spiders traditional slow start got the best of them tonight in their second playoff game. The Royals had great forechecking and power skating in the first and early second period. While the Spiders matched the scoring in the first period with two goals, the eventual deficit could not be overcome. The second half of the game was clearly controlled by the Spiders. The Royals only had just 1 shot in the third period. Royals goalie Zaroff came up big to shut down the Spiders. The Spiders head into Saturdays game with a must-win to continue the season.
