Profile: Spiders prepare for strong start in 2010 with new bling

Due to some incendiary happenings of a late-December roadtrip to Ottawa, the Spiders’ equipment manager was forced to procure revamped goalie lumber for C2 Spiders netminder Brian Dow. The stick, which is outfitted with an actual puck-ensnaring device on the paddle, is expected to be used to swallow all potential rebounds, and the occassional insect (or sled dog or dragon).
