Apparently giving up a lead in the last 1:20 was so soul crushing no one wanted to write about it. So here are some bullet points...
- Mike Townsend (2 G, 1 A), Shawn Tromiczak (1 G, 2 A), Geoff Kuppe (1 G, 1 A), and Mark Bortnem (2 A) had multi-point nights.
- Bob and Jim Maietta both scored goals. The Spiders Sabermetrics department is searching the archives to determine if the Stalpes brothers ever achieved this feat.
- C2/C1/B3 Spiders franchise penalty king Jim "Omerta" Maietta ended his streak of consecutive games without a penalty at five as he took an elbowing penalty as the clock wound down Saturday.
- A. O'Brien from the Grizzlies was issued major and game misconduct penalties for checking from behind.
